My favourite offline things to do when I need energy

What do you like to do when you need a digital break?

This is a follow up to my previous video post.

Climb – I like to find a tree, playground, or something out in nature to climb. It helps me feel a rush of adrenaline and adventure. There’s something about climbing that brings the monkey out in me.

If you are not able to climb then you can find a nice spot outdoors where you can enjoy and soak in the nature. For example, you could walk barefoot on the beach or on the grass.

Jump – Jumping is my favourite exercise. Maybe it’s because I enjoy the sports and activities that involve it (basketball and trampolining). Jump rope or any other jump variation is effective and it can be done almost anywhere. You don’t need to go to a gym now.

You can also get a rebounder for something more gentle and exercise friendly.

Sing – This is one of those things that always uplifts me emotionally and puts me in a better mood. Whether it’s by myself or with others, in tune or out of tune, this activity brings me joy.

Play – Any lighthearted activity because life doesn’t have to be serious all the time right? You can make any activity a type of play at the end of the day.

Make (Craft) – Taking the time to produce something out of nothing with your hands can slow you down and put you in the zone. Try an art or craft. Origami is my favourite.
